My Panic! At The Disco Experience
Hey guys! Sorry for my non-existence over the past couple of weeks, it's been such a busy time as I can imagine it has been for everyone else.
Anyway today's post is going to be about my P!ATD experience... now by this I mean the very first time I got to see them live at a gig! Let me tell you it was magical.
So lets re-wind back to 2004 when P!ATD formed. I can remember hearing 'I write sins not tragedies' on MTV abroad and being addicted from then on.
Now bare in mind, back then I was one of those 'emo/hipster' girls who loved this new genre of music and here's a picture to prove it!
Yes this is me in my younger years! But I digress, Panic and especially Brendon Urie became my idol. My friend and I absolutely adored the music and I dreamed of seeing him live.
Now my dream finally came true when low and behold in 2014, 10 years later my dream became a reality when they came to the Civic Hall in Wolverhampton (which is where I was studying at Uni at the time).
If you've never been to one of Brendon Urie's gigs then all I can say is that your missing out. IT WAS FANTASTIC. The atmosphere was amazing, his voice was mesmerizing and I could have rocked out to him all night. He didn't keep fans waiting and he spoke in between songs to engage with the whole crowd.
As an artist he also played music from his very first album where he had his three other band members, he then also went on to play his newest hits which his newer fans would know. The variety was great and showed he appreciated the fans that had been there from the very beginning as he pretty much didn't need to sing to his very first hits as the crowd was doing it for him!
And c'mon guys look at the flip (topless too)... he is genuinely a born entertainer!
Have you been to a P!ATD gig?
Did you have one of those emo/hipster stages?
Till next time!
